The cottage is in a great location for walks around the area including Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt edges which we walked to from the property. It is very close to Chatsworth House and its grounds which make a good days walking. The property is very welcoming and was a lovely place to return to after a day out walking. Not too far from Bakewell for supermarkets. ...

Yet another lovely Classic break! Our stay at Knouchley met all our expectations. The cottage itself had been renovated with great care and attention to detail and was styled beautifully. The owner was warmly welcoming, and the location was stunning with views and country walks from the door yet only a short drive from wonderful pubs, historic villages more challenging peaks and ridges and interesting market towns. We would definitely recommend it. ...

Knouchley Cottage is one of the loveliest cottages I have ever stayed in, beautifully furnished and presented, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. The owners live on site, are very helpful, friendly and quick to deal with any requests. Thank you Ed and Katie! My husband, student son and I had a fantastic week exploring the area and Knouchley Cottage is a very convenient base from which to explore the many delights of the Peak District which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. We will definitely be making a return visit....
