We had a lovely holiday staying in this cottage. The location is amazing, with fantastic views from the house and beautiful walks in all directions. The cottage itself is lovely - charming and very carefully decorated and presented. And the hosts were very kind and friendly. We will certainly be coming back!...

Knouchley Cottage is very special. The owners have taken time and care to create a beautiful, stylish and well equipped place to stay which works well for 4 adults. The cottage is at the top of a hill just outside the village of Calver with wonderful views across the valley and surrounding hills. There are plenty of walks and trails available from the doorstep and we enjoyed walking across to the village of Eyam and also down to and along the River Derwent. Chatsworth is nearby and Hathersage in the opposite direction. There is plenty to see and do in the area and our regret was that we had not booked to stay longer. We very much hope to return before long and make use of the patio, enjoying the view with a glass of wine in hand!...

We really enjoyed this stylish and comfortable retreat. The cottage has all the modern luxuries you would hope for but with a wonderfully cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The fixtures and fittings were excellent, and the cottage had everything you could need for an easy and comfortable stay. The log burner was a wonderful addition to enjoy after a long day walking in the hills! The location is fantastic for anyone looking to explore, being perfectly positioned for the hiking trails and close to the scenic spots (such as Chatsworth and Buxton). We enjoyed many beautiful walks with stunning scenery and loads of wildlife. The owners are really welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much bother for them, and they made our stay a real pleasure. Wish we had stayed longer! ...
