The last remaining windmill on the Island is in Bembridge.

Our second visit to 48 Solent View! The property is located at the top of a steep hill, with the path leading to the main village in one direction (around 20 minutes walk) or to Seagrove Bay (around 10-15 minutes walk) in the other. It has wonderful views of the sea and the surrounding neighbourhood is lovely and quiet. The property is really well equipped with lots of utensils, plates, cups, etc. in the kitchen, and the bedrooms are very comfortable with plenty of hanging space/storage. There is only 1 WC but it is separate to the main family bathroom, which is handy if the bathroom is occupied. Overall we loved our return to the property (and the fantastic 2026 summer weather as well) and we will be back! Thank you!...

Clean comfortable but lacking just a couple of basic things,microwave locks on toilet & bathroom doors and a fan. On the positive side a 5 mins walk down to the beach us a big plus

48 Solent View is a lovely property in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. There is a frequent bus service running from Sandown to Ryde that stops just up from the property so the transport links are great as well but Seagrove Bay is just a 5-10 minute walk down the hill (coming back up might take a little longer!) and you can also walk down to the main village in just under 15 minutes. The property has wonderful views from the main living area and the double bedroom too. The garden is a nice size, it could just do with a bit of TLC, but was a nice option for sitting out and having dinner. The kitchen is really well equipped with lots of utensils, plates, cutlery and cooking equipment, fridge/freezer, oven, and a washing machine and dishwasher too. It could just do with a microwave! Additionally the bedrooms were a great size and all had lots of wardrobe/hanging space. We would certainly stay here again! ...
