Chas and Rachel are lovely hosts, on hand if needed, but respectful of your privacy. The location is stunning, the views are amazing, and the alpacas are so peaceful, and quiet to watch. The shephards hut is really sweet and cosy it has everything you need. There has always been a bottle of fizzy wine in the fridge and nibbles waiting for us for when we arrive, and the hot tub is can be ready for you when you arrive if you message before hand to let them know. We love this place. ...

Loved this stay very much such a lovely place to unwind and relax and close to local amenities . We have stayed at lots of hideaways and the attention to detail in the hut were of a really high specification. A great addition of the hot tub which also doubled as a cold plunge pool in the summer heat in the day. Such a joy being so close to the alpacas. Can't wait to visit again. ...

Beautiful, secluded location with alpacas and their babies in the field right out the front. Its got everything you need, even if you want to cook something simple. Very cozy, comfy bed with lovely soft bedding. We had a great time, totally relaxed and just watchingbtime go by as the alpacas mooched around the field. Highly recommended x...

Perfect weekend stay for two. Lovely setting and accommodation with beautiful views. Owners are very nice and helpful and made us feel welcome. The accommodation is very well done and comfortable but be mindful on the amount you take as space is small, which is expected from a sheppards hut. Great placeand highly recommend for relaxing and views. The only thing negative was the road down to the farm had pot holes which made it difficult if you have a low or regular car but not a big deal. Highly recommend. ...

Miss Williams November 2025

The holiday was lovely despite the access issues, but as a recommendation, it would be good to have had better knowledge on the drive into the farm because if I’d known, I’d either have not booked or, booked alternative transport. Its not ideal to have a road in that condition where theres no service to call for help if you get stuck (which I did). ...

We’re very sorry to hear that you had trouble accessing the property. For future visits, we always recommend following the written directions provided in your arrival guide, as sat nav systems can sometimes misdirect guests to an impassable lane due to a mapping error. We’re delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Alpaca Hideaway overall, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon. Julie, Customer Support...
