An excellent cottage. Well furnished, very clean and very comfortable with lots of storage. The bed in particular was extremely comfortable and the shower was impressive. The welcome cream tea was very much appreciated. User guides for kitchen items such as the cooker and microwave would have been helpful. It was disappointing not to be able to regulate the central heating ourselves at certain times eg when having a shower. ...

The owners wanted to mention that the electric towel rail in the bathroom can be switched on independently of the underfloor heating and this makes the shower room toasty warm. Our 3rd visit to Swallows Rest and as usual a very warm welcome from both human and animal hosts. The cottage is so cosy and the bed is sumptuous- always sleep well there. The cottage is well placed for visiting this beautiful part of Cornwall and this time we managed to visit NGS open garden at Boscrowan as well as some of the cornish open studios and met some lovely people. Also visited our usual haunts of Trewaignton, Botallack Mines, Marazion, Penley Gallery and Museum,Tremenhere, St Ives by train. There is always something more to see or do to be saved for another visit....
