What a stunning cottage in a lovely location. It also has a very well maintained private little garden with two seating areas. We were lucky weather wise so we could sit outside a lot. We enjoyed our days here enormously. Everything you could wish for is there, even a bottle of milk in the fridge. The couches are very comfortable, the same goes for the bed. The bath tub is a bit small, at least for us but we used the (excellent) shower more anyway. The walk to the beach is pretty steep on the way back, but well worth it. Also the Salty Dog Kiosk at the bottom of the hill next to the beach is worth a visit. Who would expect such good coffee and food at such a small stretch of beach? We certainly didn't but loads of people did, because it was pretty busy and that on a weekday. We had lunch at the Castle Pub, very friendly staff and we had a nice meal. ...

Beautiful cottage that oozes character without compromising on comfort and convenience, set in a wonderfully quiet village road. The only issue for us was that we had to leave after a week, having only seen a fraction of the places to visit locally. Ted the terrier loved to be able to step straight out into the little enclosed garden - and the year-round dog-friendly beach, and coastal path to Teignmouth is only a few minutes walk away. ...

Really enjoyed our stay at Pooks Hill Cottage. The cottage is very cosy, well placed for exploring the local area and is equipped with literally everything you are likely to need. The Castle Inn pub is within a stones throw and is very welcoming with excellent food....

Had a 3 night break arriving in middle of Bank Holiday Weekend. Cottage was very clean and well presented. Highly recommended.
