This property was perfect for our weekend getaway. Its peaceful location was a great base for exploring the area convenient for visiting the coast and the nature trails inland. The property itself was so comfortable and clean and the private garden was lovely to relax in after a days walking. This was a real treat of a property and we will certainly be back again....

The Cowshed is a perfect getaway retreat, very clean and comfortable, and in a very peaceful location. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but it is a three or four minute drive to big Tesco and Lidl stores. There are many attractions within a short drive, including the west Dorset and East Devon coastal resorts. The property includes a private courtyard where you can enjoy evening sunsets. It is one of the best-equipped holiday cottages we have stayed in, and the owners were very friendly and helpful when we arrived. Within a mile or so there is Chard Reservoir, perfect for a walk even if you don’t have a dog. Several nice country pubs within a few miles. If you want a week in the country with amenities within a few minutes drive, in a scenic part of Somerset, I can’t think of anywhere better...

We loved our stay at The Cowshed! The hosts were super helpful - quick to help when needed issues and invisible the rest of the time! It was extremely well equipped and had everything you could need. The beds were super comfy, with lovely bedlinen and good pillows. The location suited us perfectly. It felt like you were in the heart of the countryside but was in easy reach of supermarkets, farm shops, great pubs and interesting places to visit. The visitor information guide was really comprehensive - excellent recommendations for places to eat and go. We only wish we'd had more time to explore more! Highly recommended....

Very comfortable cottage with all u could need 1/2 hr.drive to many lovely locations Peaceful surroundings

We really enjoyed our stay in The Cowshed. A very comfortable and spacious cottage which has been well equipped to a high standard. Nice to be able to spread out with ease. Very dog friendly and secure garden. Easy to take the dog out for short early morning / late evening walks. Plenty of things to do nearby on the coast and inland....
