Really enjoyed our week here. It's very quiet with only the occasional traffic. The cottage is very well presented and very cosy. We loved the modern extension, the kitchen/dining area being very well equipped and having all we could need. As noted on the website the headroom upstairs is limited in some areas and the stairs might be a problem if your mobility is impaired - top curved section is quite steep/narrow. The garden is very nice and we were charmed by the regular visits of Peter the peacock! However the decking/summerhouse area at the end of the garden was a bit tired and overgrown. It's a very sunny area and some visitors might like to have sun loungers available. Although we weren't bothered, if you needed to work online here the internet connection is very slow - it's just about ok for emails. If you wanted to stream films it wouldn't be feasible. We wouldn't hesitate to book again should we return to this area....

Despite poor weather we very much enjoyed our stay at Holly Cottage. It is conveniently located for several National Trust properties. I.e Saltrum, Overbecks and Buckland Abbey. The cottage is tastefully decorated and is well equipped
