From the bottom tier of the garden you get a great feel for how close you are to the beach. Only a mere 100+ steps down to your private access.

There are so many fabulous beaches to explore nearby, like this beach at Blackpool Sands.
The World War II Sherman tank at Slapton Sands is worth a visit.

Make sure you are aware the access roads to Bigbury on sea are very narrow and in lots of areas sre single file.

We had a wonderful week in Sunnynook. The weather was mixed yet every day was special, either looking out of the 'television' window at the amazing kite surfers (arguably the best view you could get of the sea's activites) or down the convenient staircase straight down onto the beach! The house is well equipt, spacious, warm and luxury. Utterly amazing, I'd recommend to anyone who wants a truly special week in a great location; quiet enough for the feeling of seclusion yes close enough for freindly walks convenience of shops and restaurants....
