My 7th stay at the Old School Room with my family. We love it here. It’s in the perfect location for an easy holiday. We were blessed with the weather and were there during the heatwave. So we didn’t use the car once, just pootled around Marazion, eating out, and relaxing in the beautiful garden. Places we ate out, The Mount, national trust tea room and lovely seating looking over the bay. And coffee places to grab a drink and sit on the lawns. The Copper Spoon, the best take out coffee and amazing almond croissants! As it was hot she was open from 10ish til she got too hot! The Godolphin, we ate here a couple of times, lunch and dinner and sat in the window watching the boats and the sunset. Great food, it was a bit tricky for me as a coeliac, but they were very friendly and helpful and foind me a few options. The Cutty Sark, the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time! The people here were lovely. The Cabin, Perranuthnoe, a lovely walk along the coast path and then delicious food overlooking the sea. We spent the week resting on the shady decking at the cottage, in the sea, wandering the coast path, pootling around the galleries with a coffee. It was an amazing break, every time we find something different to do. And I’ll hopefully be back next year!! Thanks for an amazing stay. ...

We loved our stay at The Old School Room. Fabulous location. Parking a bit tight in a 4x4 but a real bonus. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Super open plan living with woodburning stove and well equipped and spacious kitchen. We enjoyed our Cornish tea and coffee and shortbread, thank you! We would definitely stay again....

The Old School Room lives up to the Classic Cottage name. It is not only Classic, but is charming, bright and welcoming. With unique decorative touches at every turn the cottage makes you feel at home. The information booklets were helpful and thorough. We would recommend this lovely cottage to anyone visiting the Marazion area of Cornwall. ...

My 6th stay at this property and second in a month! This time meeting a friend (we also met here last year!) I came down on the train, jumped in a taxi at the station and was there. Sainsbury’s delivered my week’s food a few hours later and I had all I needed for a great week. The cottage is comfortable and the garden has lovely views of the sea. I like the convenience of being in a small town, with the beach, cafes, buses and trains nearby. And back at the house it’s quiet and there’s a feeling of space. We had a lovely break. Went to the Mount, pootled round the galleries, walked the coast path to the Cabin at Porthcurnoe, visited Treban garden, the Tremenheere Sculpture Park, picnicked in the garden, sat in the cafe and watched the boats going over to the Mount, walked the dog on the beach and caught some amazing sunsets. We were blessed with beautiful weather as we’ve been on all of our visits to Marazion. It’s my happy place, and I booked for next year the second I got home! ...

How much do I love this property!? Well, this was my 4th stay at The Old School Room and I’m coming back again in 3 weeks.!! I love Marazion, and come down every year to visit relatives. My children absolutely love the garden and the upside down layout. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. The beds are clean and we always get a good night’s sleep. We had wall to wall sunshine for our stay, and only used the car once. We went over to the Mount, magical, and walking the causeway just never gets old! Walked to The Cabin for lunch and a dip in the sea, went to the sculpture garden, mooched around the galleries. It was very quiet the week we were there and the kids loved the freedom of being able to pootle down to get an ice cream and go to the beach. We sat in the garden and watched the waves for hours. Next time I’m coming down by train and the easy transport links really do make this a very easy place for a non driver who loves train journeys and walking to visit! Can’t wait to come back (very!) soon. ...
