A wonderful cottage with spectacular sea views and views of Burgh island. Great location, just a few minutes from the beach and coastal paths. Very well equipped and clean. Loved the different areas for sitting in. For eating out, we would highly recommend The Oyster Shack (10 minutes drive) and The Crab Shed in Salcombe ( about 30 minutes drive). And The Valley View cafe for breakfast ( about 25 minutes drive). We also had a wonderful afternoon tea in The Burgh island hotel. ...

We had a wonderful stay at Highlea. The accommodation was comfortable, well presented and exceptionally well equipped. We certainly got our exercise walking up and down Parker Road most days, but every climb was worth it for the views, which were outstanding! We were lucky enough to have a glorious week of weather, making the most of days on the beach and walks over to Burgh Island (a visit to The Pilchard is a must) and being entertained by the sea tractor shuttling back and forth at high tide. The property is also perfectly positioned for exploring the SW Coast Path and we particularly enjoyed a walk to Hope Cove. Bigbury-on-Sea is a magical place and now holds some very special memories for our family. We hope to return one day. ...

Excellent location and stunning views. Very easy parking and access to the property which was safe all round for our dogs. The holiday home offered everything needed for a comfortable stay.
