A little further down the coast is Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame - it's well worth a visit.

A hidden gem! It's rare to find a high end property at affordable pricing in Cornwall, but Little St Hugh is just that. Remarkably decorated and furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable and effortless stay, even with our 7 month old daughter. The location was excellent with popular destinations like Padstow, Polzeath and Port Isaac nearby whilst also having Boscastle literally on the doorstep (albeit a steep walk home!) Well couldn't fault this stay, the only comment we would make would be that the drive/parking situation is a little difficult at times. The cottage is located on a very, very narrow road and parking is roadside. We visited in peak holiday season and always managed to park with ease, however less confident drivers may find it challenging. Excellent communication from the owner couple days prior to arrival with good clear instructions to find the property On arrival everything about the property was explained clearly and owners lived next door so are readily available to help with anything if need. Good location although the village is located on a steep hillside leading down to the harbour with a few well equipped shops and good options to eat and drink. Farm shop just up the hill going out the village is worth a visit with some great produce and reasonable priced restaurant...

A particularly well-appointed, very comfortable cottage which was spotless and extremely well-equipped. The owners were very welcoming, greeting us in person and laying out a traditional Cornish afternoon tea in readiness for us; initial supplies of milk, butter and bread were also provided The property is well-situated in the old part of Boscastle, with a short walk (in places steep for some) down into the main village; we had no difficulty in always parking close by.
