Orchard Barn

Wow, what a hidden gem! Our first stay here, but we will definitely return. Very well equipped, clean, warm and exactly as per the website description. Lovely pub within a miles walk, with great good, and a delightful beer garden. The location of the cottage made it accessible to many wonderful places in Somerset. The cottage is tucked away, so extremely quiet, but you have easy access to the A38 to get out and about. Lovely host, and we received a locally made fruit cake, which was delightful, milk, tea and coffee on arrival. What really made our break perfect was the very large, mainly high walled-secure, grassed garden. We have a 30 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback who loved the space to run free when we returned from a day out. You don’t find many places you feel your dog is totally secure, and has loads of space to let off steam. We look forward to returning soon....

We had a very enjoyable stay in this converted barn in a quiet location with a lovely large enclosed garden, part high wall and part fencing approx 4ft high (it was OK for our elderly dogs but wouldn't be suitable for some dogs). It was well equipped to a high standard. It was particularly nice to be there in a heat wave as we found it cooler than our own house, being able to leave the patio doors open and the larger patio being in partial shade for a lot of the day. There was a smaller patio at the other end of the garden, which was also a lovely spot to sit and dine/enjoy a drink. We had a lovely week to recharge but it's also well located for visiting other attractions...

Lovely cottage for a holiday with dogs. Rare to get a garden so big and lovely, Access is via a narrow lane. But I had an estate which didn’t struggle, Owners on hand but don’t bother you, I would recommend.

Fantastic sized garden, well fenced in but unfortunately the grass was sadly ravaged by the very hot and dry spell. Felt very private and quiet. Great being able to park right outside the door. Comfortable furniture and furnishings. Owner friendly and welcoming leaving treats for us and our dogs. Great being able to take our 3 dogs. Great base for touring....

Lovely host. We (a couple with a dog) had a great, comfortable stay in September. Ideal location- peaceful but close enough for walks or shopping. The barn has everything you need (except an air fryer), large fridge/freezer, Netflix, and a large, private, enclosed garden. Just what we needed. ...
