The Old Coach House is a perfect rural retreat for a summer holiday. The cottage is compact, thoughtfully equipped and has everything we needed. The double room is very spacious as is the en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is very comfortable with lovely views of the garden. The garden is perfect for children to play or for lounging around - plenty of sunny areas and shade from the trees with lots of space for ball games. Jane and Richard gave us the warmest of welcomes and were most helpful is suggesting places for days out - there's a lot to see in the area. It was lovely to have the horses and hens nearby. It would be hard to fault this cottage and we hope to return some time....

Our stay at The Old Coach House really surpassed our expectations. We received a warm welcome from our hosts. The property was pretty, well-equipped, well-secluded and homely. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we didn't want to go home.

The house was exactly what we thought it would be from the description and was a lovely base for us to enjoy our holiday. We did need the sat nav to navigate all the small roads, so it is a very quiet small village which may not suit everyone, but its very central for travelling to a lot of sites/attractions. In one week, we went to Chessil Beach, Lulworth Cove, Bridport (where they filmed Broadchurch), Sherbourne and up to Stonehenge and Beulieu car museum and a couple of iron age sites. So lots of scope for things to do, no matter what the weather....
