Hidden away in an enchanting wooded valley near Trebarwith, this four bedroom retreat offers a truly unique escape. Set within eight acres of breathtaking natural beauty, where a gentle stream tumbles through the grounds, nature is ever-present. Yet despite its secluded charm, the golden sands, rockpools and dramatic Atlantic swells of Trebarwith Strand are just a 15 minute stroll away. This is where woodland wonder meets coastal adventure - a sanctuary to unwind, reconnect and explore.

As you head down the drive your holiday home emerges, bathed in sunlight through the clearing in the trees. Retaining much of its original character and charm - with exposed beams, rich wood panelling and welcoming inglenook fireplaces - Old Mill Floor has been thoughtfully extended and updated to include a contemporary kitchen and utility-room, generous living spaces and striking floor-to-ceiling windows that truly make the most of the setting. Step into the heart of the home - a modern, sleek kitchen with a central island, perfect for prepping meals or serving up breakfast at the bar. Whether you gather around the kitchen table or step out onto the patio for a morning cuppa by the stream, it's a blissful way to start the day.

The expansive sitting/dining-room offers oodles of space for everyone. Share stories around the dining-table, curl up in the cosy nook by the wood-burner, settle in for TV time in the sitting-area, or step out onto the sunny terrace for al fresco dining under the trees. For quieter moments, a separate snug provides a peaceful retreat - or a second screen for those who prefer a different show.

Upstairs, four bedrooms await, ready to whisk you off to the land of nod with soft linens, tranquil views and the gentle hush of the valley beyond. Furnished throughout with a blend of modern style and vintage charm, Old Mill Floor marries the old with the new.

Step outside and immerse yourself in the beauty that surrounds. Nestled beneath the tree canopy, the outdoor wood-fired hot tub (a supply of logs are provided) offers a blissful retreat and ideal for soaking under the stars or unwinding in the dappled light of day. Al fresco spaces invite you to dine and sip, or simply sneak away with a good book and let the gentle rustle of leaves be your soundtrack. Wander through the woods and follow the stream to discover birds and wildlife, or join the footpath and venture further afield to explore Cornwall's rugged beauty.

The popular surfing beach of Trebarwith Strand is sure to become a favourite, with its golden sands, dramatic cliffs and lively surf. Perched on the clifftop, a cafe, shop and pub offer the perfect vantage point to watch the beach unfold below - whether you're catching waves or simply soaking in the view.

Even closer to home, The Mill House Inn offers a warm welcome and a cosy spot to enjoy local hospitality just moments from your doorstep.

History lovers will be drawn to Tintagel, famed for its castle ruins and legendary ties to King Arthur and for up-to-date celebrities head to the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, made famous by The Fisherman's Friends and the beloved TV series Doc Martin.

Boscastle, with its pretty harbourside setting, is another gem worth exploring - offering charm, character and a peaceful pace.

Foodies are in for a treat. Indulge in Michelin-starred dining at Nathan Outlaw's in Port Isaac, enjoy home-made delights at the Boscastle Farm Shop and cafe, or sample local brews at Tintagel Brewery after a day on the coastal path.

And if you're craving a change of scenery, head inland to Bodmin Moor, where wide open spaces and rugged outcrops offer a dramatic contrast to the coastal calm; a perfect spot for walking, wildlife watching or simply breathing in the wild Cornish air.
