My wife and I stayed at Pook's Hill Cottage for five days at the end of October. The weather was not particularly welcoming, but we were cosy and comfortable here. Unfortunately we did not have much of chance to see the countryside. However we did get to the Castle Inn in the village for dinner a couple of times: on the Thursday evening it was full and the food was excellent. On the following Monday it was a disappointment. There was no disappointment with the cottage - we really loved it. And the service from Classic Cottages was faultless. Gerry and Ellie Harrison...
