Sandpiper has to be one of the best holiday cottages we’ve ever stayed in. The view from the lounge is breathtaking. We found the house comfortable, homely and welcoming. It’s conveniently situated for Shaldon which is such a lovely little town and so well-placed for exploring the area. We spent some lovely early mornings walking the dog around the botanical gardens which are on your doorstep. They are beautifully maintained with a fascinating history. A gem of a property, stunning views with access to many attractions including pubs, restaurants and kayaking. Wonderful for children with the beach just across the road as well as the botanical gardens and zoo.

Main attraction was the expansive views, and they didn't disappoint. Thank goodness as I broke my ankle just before our trip so spent an awful lot of time admiring them! Binoculars were a nice touch.
