The stone terrace has beautifully planted borders and French windows from the living-area, lead straight out onto it. You can see the corner of the owner's home next door - The Coach House is on a higher level and tucked behind it.
The Coach House is approached along this private road across the Axe Valley. There are footpaths along the river banks for you to enjoy with your dog.
This is the little harbour at Seaton - your closest beach. There is a delightful cafe on the quayside and a wide pebbled bay.
There is a wonderful wood-burning stove for out-of-season breaks - this is the most welcoming of cottages whatever the time of year.

The Coach House is embraced with beautiful flower borders and has its own beautiful gardens, set within the grounds of a country house. There are a couple of steps down to the front door and then one up.
There are beautiful gardens in a set of terraces, with seating to choose from to enjoy this most peaceful setting.

Also very nearby is the fishing village of Beer - well worth a visit. It is like stepping back in time, with fishing boats drawn up on the beach.
This is the river Axe. You cross the river to reach the Coach House and there are footpaths all along the banks.

The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is just a five mile drive away, stretching through east Devon and over the border at Lyme Regis into Dorset. Seaton, the nearest beach, is in the distance.
Lyme Regis, such a wonderful iconic town, is a very short drive from The Coach House. Whatever the time of year this is a great place to visit.
Sidmouth is one of the many delightful coastal towns in east Devon. This pebbled beach has plenty of sand at low tide.

We could not fault the Coach House in any way. It was warm and comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. The gardens are beautiful and a visit from a deer one morning really made our day! We wouldn’t hesitate to return again to such a peaceful place....

We had a superb tranquil and relaxing 9 days break in January, weather was cold but cottage was warm and cosy, with the log burner. Furnishings were exceptionally comfortable and the entire cottage was well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Host was available and attentive on the one occasion he was required. The location is perfect for walks and with easy access by car to the coast and local attractions. The website photos do not do justice to the house and grounds....

Enjoyed a wonderful sunny two week stay at the Coach House. The property is well equipped, very clean and has spacious rooms, which have been very tastefully furnished. The outside space has a lovely sunny patio area and the property is surrounded by plenty of flowers and mature trees. We did not have any problems negotiating the narrow lane leading up to the property as we rarely met another vehicle. The Welcome Basket was much appreciated. Hope to return next year as there is plenty of Devon still to explore and favourite places to return to....
