Our stay at Carne Haven was simply sublime. A beautiful, cosy and superbly equipped property, we couldn’t have been more comfortable. But it’s greatest quality is its location, with breath-taking views over the river estuary and out to sea from several of the rooms and the huge deck - wonderful for evening dining al fresco. Gillan cove is perfect for boating with the children - safe and sheltered, with easy access to St Anthony for boat hire, and a short hop round the headland for boat trips down the Helford River with its many beaches, pubs and National Trust gardens. We have fallen in love with the place - so much so that we re-booked for next year before we left! Thank you Carne Haven; see you next summer! ...

Almost perfect! Fabulous secluded cove. Wonderful views. Light airy clean house. Would be 10/10 except for occasional power tool noise from small boatyard. In a noisier place you probably wouldn’t notice it, but as so perfectly peaceful otherwise it jarred! But would go back....
