Beautiful cottage, wonderful views and well equipped. Beautiful views and quiet. The big ‘but’ is this time my stay was tainted with dirty floors, swept maybe but not washed . Black dog hairs in carpet and on furniture. I had to get down on my knees and wash the floors and wipe the carpets and furniture with a damp cloth to get the dogs hairs up . No working hoover and no equipment to mop floor's in cottage. No one else it appears has found this. Perhaps my standard are too high for a rental cottage, who knows? I felt disappointed as I have stayed in this cottage before and not experience what I found this time round....

We are so sorry if the cleaning was not to the high standards that it should have been. This is definitely not the norm here, with Linhay Cottage having always received very positive feedback on the cleaning up until this point. We would never expect a guest to have to clean on their arrival, and would have got the housekeeper to reattend that same evening you arrived had we known at that point. Unfortunately, by the time we were aware and you had already cleaned, it is more difficult for us to assess the severity of this, that said, I hope that with what we have discussed since; you will feel more reassured about what you should expect from your arrival to properties that we market, and how we would usually assist with any concerns. A holiday to Linhay would not disappoint. Very well equipped cottage, lovely back garden with fantastic views, lovely to see the sun rise from. A very short walk gets you to the beach plus you can walk the coast path from the door, nice not to get in the car all the time. The Hidden hut cafe is very close as is Porthsatho for meals out and shopping. I would definitely recommend a stay here. ...
