There is also a private sheltered area at the side of the Lodge. It is quite a suntrap. This area can be enclosed if you wish.

Killerton House is the nearest National Trust property, with lovely gardens and the 800 acre Ashclyst Forest to explore.
Budleigh Salterton is another lovely little coastal town on the Jurassic Coast.

I would rather keep this wonderful place a secret and not say how stunning it is. There really is nothing to fault it. It's attached to the owner's property but don't let this put you off as Gill and Terry are so welcoming. I felt like I was staying with friends. If you're lucky you will arrive to homemade cake, bread and milk in the fridge plus dog treats. There are many dog friendly pubs, and places nearby, but I was content sitting in the huge garden. Mount Pleasant is my happy place and I can't wait to return. ...

We had a very relaxing week at Mount Pleasant Lodge in February. Gill and Terry are the perfect hosts: kind and friendly, on hand when needed but not at all intrusive. The cottage was very clean, warm and comfortable and most of all so peaceful and relaxing. We had a very wet week, but dodged the rain to visit the beaches and walk our dog in the local woods. We'd highly recommend staying here....
