We found Smugglers' Cottage to be a cosy and welcoming home from home in a really excellent location. It was quiet and relaxing, yet close to Porthleven, Helston and the Lizard. There are also fabulous walks from the door. Would highly recommend this beautiful home from home....

Smugglers is a great cottage, really good condition. Lovely sitting area and well equiped kitchen. Ideal if you want walks from the door with a dog as there are often places you can't take dogs in this area. There is a lovely little garden which is secure for a small dog, and has pretty shrubs. Set down a long quiet lane, with just a few other cottages nearby. Easy access to Portleven, takes about 10 mins which suited us. ...

It was another lovely day at Smugglers which is a perfect retreat for those who love to explore this special part of the country and a great place to return to after another expedition into the heavenly surroundings of the Loe Pool and Bar.

This is a great little cottage, we visited in March and it was warm and cosy. Equipment wise it as everything you could need, we cooked in most evenings no problem. If you do eat out there’s a great choice of local pubs and restaurants, a must try is the Halzephron Inn which you can walk to in about 1hr or the Ship Inn in Porthleven. If you like a pint of real ale try the Blue Anchor Inn in Helston but this is also about 1hrs walk all of which are dog friendly, the only none dog friendly place we visited and will not be returning is Mousehole which is a pity because it’s a nice walk from Newlyn. ...
