This cottage has a friendly open plan layout with plenty of space for the sofas and the dining-table.
The contemporary kitchen is very well-equipped.
You can visit the local farm shops and bring some treats back for a holiday meal at the cottage.
The master bedroom looks out over the countryside right across the valley.
This bedroom is at one end of the cottage and the other bedroom is at the opposite end - so you will have plenty of privacy.
Have a lie in and a lazy start to the day before setting out to explore this unspoilt area.

Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space.

A reminder that the beach is only a short drive away from the cottage, choose a route through the beautiful lanes that take you past a wonderful pub at Dalwood and a farm shop at Wilmington!

The lovely front garden for you to enjoy to the right of the photo. Parking is on the gravelled area.
This is the unique Jacob's Ladder at Sidmouth.
The Exe Estuary at Topsham makes a lovely day out.
The famous Cobb and harbour at Lyme Regis.
The start of the Jurassic coastline at Budleigh Salterton.
East Devon has unspoilt countryside and a stunning coastline.
Seaton and Beer are under half an hour's drive away.

Wonderful views. Totally peaceful. Endless lanes for exploring. Lovely large warm bathroom. Comfortable and well equipped property. Owners kind and helpful. Dalwood village has shop and post office and The Tuckers Arms serving exceptional quality food. Order your paper from the shop. Many walks around Dalwood, a charming rural village and visit Burrow Farm Gardens for beauty and good cafe. We had three lovely days here without needing to travel out of the village....

Thanks to our hosts John and Madeleine for their warm welcome and advice on places to visit. We had two relaxing and refreshing weeks, the views are to die for. The cottage is ideally placed to visit many places, Sidmouth, Seaton, Beer, Branscombe, Lyme Regis, Charmouth, plus we visited The Donkey Sanctuary and rode The Seaton Tramway. Sadly the weather wasn't at its best for June (cold winds) but it did not spoil our enjoyment. A healthy appetite is needed to eat at The Tuckers Inn in Dalwood, portions are generous. The were staff friendly....
