Why not visit Falmouth harbour and explore the local shops and scenery.
The Owners of Gilly Barn are also custodians of the Caerhays Estate near St Austell and they would love you to visit during your holiday if you have time.
The golden sands of Gwithian are only a short drive away.
Portreath beach is stunning any time of year.
Trevaunance Cove and the village of St Agnes are so pretty.

Gilly Barn is tucked away in a secluded part of Cornwall with rolling views of the country side, but within easy access to main attractions. On arrival our expectations were surpassed with the accommodations light and airy feeling. The barn has everything you need and more!! My husband and I stayed in August 2018 with our 11yr old daughter . She found it very exciting watching the cows stream by each morning on their way to be milked and enjoyed using the bar b cue provided for an evening meal in the large garden. We traveled to lands end, about 45mins from the barn, visited Penzance, spent the day at Flambards theme park, explored some of the national trust gardens nearby, that have beaches to discover within them, surfed at Gwithian beach ( a fantastic must see spot ) and went kayaking at Stithians resivoiur only 2 miles away. Lovely place ,well equipped, Lots of space for family or friends. Would recommend Gilly ‘s Barn quiet location but not far from towns & village. Lovely local pubs near by and a great base for exploring Cornwall. Totally recommend.

A wonderful cottage which is well equipped and wonderfully decorated and furnished. A great rural location but still close to local amenities and only 20 minutes to the beaches and coast. We will be back!!
