This cottage was ideal for the two of us. We found the bed to be comfortable and the shower powerful. A real bonus is the private, outside seating area with countryside views. We had a very enjoyable stay. Jill and Duffy were excellent hosts. We had a nice evening meal and drinks in the Moorland Hotel 1/4 mile up the road from the cottage. The local pub The Rock Inn was on the expensive side. You can walk (uphill) from the cottage to Haytor and Haytor Quarry; lots of wildlife to be seen. Visiting Buckfast Abbey was a highlight of our trip, with free car park and entry to the gardens and abbey....

Great accommodation, Beam Ends cottage is in a magic location for the moors exceiient walks and lots to see and places to go. The cottage is very well kept to a high standard by the owners who are very accommodating to ensure all our needs are met.
