DoubleWith wonderful views of the sea and a mere hop, skip and jump to the beach, come and immerse yourself in the coastal way of life at this stunning retreat in the seaside hamlet of Portwrinkle on the beautiful Rame Peninsula.
Revitalise the soul with an early morning swim, delight in endless miles of coastal walks, explore the rockpools and build sandcastles on the beach or indulge in treats at the beachside cafe. Swing your woods on the links golf course, discover charming Cornish fishing towns and villages, try your hand at paddleboarding and surfing and relax on the terrace with your favourite tipple as the sun sets on another glorious day. Are you set to Cornish time yet?
Set all on one level, with only a short flight of steps up to the front door, light and bright interiors with delightful seaside touches are set to welcome you at this ground floor apartment, with the windows perfectly framing those wonderful views. Open plan living is the main event at Kittiwake, where you are always guaranteed the 'window seat' at mealtimes and for al fresco dining the sunny patio invites you outside.
The two bedrooms lead off from separate sides of the living-room, one with an en suite and there's a family bathroom as well, perfect for those who want a little more privacy. Both rooms have floor to ceiling windows making the most of the view, it's the perfect excuse for a lie-in.
The area around Kittiwake, often referred to as 'the forgotten corner' of Cornwall, is beautiful, intriguing and unspoilt, and once discovered we are sure you will be back time and time again.
The coastline changes with the tide, offering sheltered coves and bays when in, and vast stretches of sand when out. The twinned villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are utterly charming with narrow streets, colour washed cottages and heaps of places to eat and drink and a little closer to home The Finnygook Inn pub is only a 10 minute walk up the hill from Kittiwake in the village of Crafthole, where there is also a community shop.
The working fishing town of Looe offers traditional seaside fun, and the chance to join a fishing trip or you can take the coastal walk to Polperro, an idyllic fishing village steeped in historic charm.
If you prefer more grandeur, head for the historical houses and gardens of the Mount Edgcumbe, Port Eliot and Antony estates and for maritime history, take a trip across the Tamar to Plymouth and seek out the historic Barbican and Plymouth Hoe.
