The location of Hillside House couldn't have been better. So close to the pub that when they had missed part of the takeaway order, the lady brought it in herself. The shop was excellent, as was the ice cream shop and only steps away. The beach close to the house was good for rock pools and crabbing and we loved the walk along to Porthcurnick beach which the children particularly enjoyed. The house was very well equipped and comfortably elegant, it didn't feel like a typical rental property which has dozens of different guests in a season. The children loved 'their' room and everyone else made good use of both indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Despite the proximity to the pub and the Harbour Club, the house was very quiet. The whole family, ranging in ages from 4 to 86 had a marvellous time. We loved sitting round the big table at night after a leisurely meal and then retiring to the comfy sofas for a spot of music.
