Tucked away just off the pretty harbourside in the bustling Roseland village of St Mawes, Manor Cottage is a cheerful holiday home, perfect for those looking for a village location by the sea with all you need close by. In summer, tranquil days can be spent simply sitting by the harbour watching the boats come and go, during winter months watch stormy seas from your cosy cottage. Whenever you choose to holiday, Manor Cottage is ideally placed in the beating heart of the village where everything is at your fingertips. It's all about location!

Manor Cottage is a traditional Cornish abode which sits just off the main harbour of St Mawes. Bursting with character, this small cottage packs a punch when it comes to location and makes for the perfect retreat if you are looking for a car-free holiday. To the front a small, cobbled courtyard has a view of the harbour so you can sit all day long, drink in hand, watching the boats come and go. Whilst this is the only outside space at Manor Cottage you will be the envy of all who walk past!

Step over the threshold and the cosy ground floor awaits with characterful Cornish range fireplace (ornamental only) and typical low beamed ceilings. The front windows give a lovely view of the harbour and you can sit on the window seat enjoying the view for hours. To the rear of the sitting-room the kitchen/diner can be found, behind a dividing brick wall with windows. The kitchen is cosy with everything you will need to cook a holiday meal. Stairs from the hall lead to the first floor (please note these are typically steep Cornish cottage stairs and there is also a turning step up into the bedroom). The main bedroom is at the front of the cottage, with lovely views from the windows and has 'zip and link' (super-king or twin) beds. The small family bathroom has a three-quarter size bath with shower over. The bedroom which sits at the back of the first floor has 'zip and link' (super-king or twin) beds and is ideal for either children or adults.

For additional accommodation for two guests, why not book neighbouring The Pilchard Shed (5278) alongside Manor Cottage.

St Mawes is a gorgeous unspoilt fishing village on the tip of the Roseland peninsula. With two stunning beaches your days can be spend in idyllic bliss building sandcastles and swimming in crystal clear waters. Water sports enthusiasts will love paddle boarding and kayaking around the surrounding coves and inlets and walkers will revel in the miles of gorgeous coast path. As for eateries, there's a great selection from fine dining to fish and chips in paper eaten sitting on the harbour wall.

With a selection of galleries, cafes and grocery shops you may choose never to use your car. For a change of scene catch the passenger ferry from the harbour which will take you over the bay to the maritime town of Falmouth, steeped in history and an interesting place to explore. Portscatho is a short journey away, the prettiest of villages with stunning sandy beaches and the renowned Hidden Hut overlooking Porthcurnick beach where you sit side by side on wooden benches enjoying the freshest of Cornish produce. A little further away the mighty biomes of the Eden Project make for a great day out or perhaps The Lost Gardens of Heligan, lost in time during WW1, discovered 30 years ago and painstakingly returned to its former glory. The Roseland peninsula is unique, beautiful, unspoilt and a great place for a holiday so what are you waiting for?
