We were a family of 8 (3 generations) plus a dog staying for 3 nights at Carwin. The house was immaculately furnished and equipped to a very high standard. We had a brilliant few days and Seaton is a pleasant village by the sea with some great walks especially the one along the river to Hessenford. The beach isn’t amazing but ideal for holidays with dogs and there are plenty of rock pools at low tide to keep kids amused. If you want to eat out Seaton is very limited, but the Beach House cafe serves excellent food throughout the day. We would highly recommend the property which is very spacious and welcoming. We loved our stay in Carwin. It's a spacious, well equipped property and it was very clean and comfortable. It is located in a beautiful unspoilt part of Cornwall. We loved spending time sat around the island in the kitchen and looking at the views down to the beach. The lounge is very comfortable and we loved opening the doors and watching the animals on the hillside opposite. We also enjoyed sitting out on the decking with a coffee. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise on arrival - fresh scones, jam and cream, local teabags and milk! There are plenty of local walks and the beach is child and dog friendly. We were a group of 6 friends and a small dog looking for a spacious well equipped holiday cottage away from the hustle & bustle of the busier holiday areas but near to the sea - Carwin certainly fitted that bill . The location and details of the property were as shown on website - so no unwelcome surprises there. . Welcome pack of scones & other goodies was a nice touch. The property was spacious with comfortable beds, a well equipped and modern kitchen (and lots of toilets!). The nearby beach was dog friendly and well used during our time there. As well as nearby towns such as Looe, Liskeard, Polperro and Mevagissey, there are also several interesting National Trust properties to visit within easy driving distance. Beautiful house in a lovely location. Can’t fault the property. Didn’t want to leave! It has everything you need and was beautifully clean. Only a five minute walk into Seaton, brilliant beach and lovely pub which had fantastic food.
