What a spot for a picnic! The garden is very private but not fully enclosed so please take care with children.
Carp fishing is available in the private lakes of the owner's grounds - please do inform us if this is something you would like to do. The lakes are very deep so please don't allow children to wander beyond your private garden.

Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. Cottage has everything you could want. It is tastefully decorated and the log burner is a fabulous addition. There is a lovely garden where you can sit and listen to the bird song. There is a pub within an easy 15 minute walk, although can’t comment on its offering as it was closed during our stay. However, if you don’t mind a little drive, the New Inn at Stoke Abbott is worth a visit, great food and lovely garden. We have just spent a wonderful second Christmas at Old Sandpitts Cottage. The owner had very kindly decorated the living room for us, including a tree! It was magical - like stepping right into Christmas! The cottage has everything you could need. A fabulously equipped kitchen and the shower is amazing. Very comfortable beds. It was so quiet there - we put the Carols on, lit the wood burner, poured the champagne and relaxed totally for a whole week. We really cannot recommend Old Sandpitts Cottage too highly.
