When it comes to the perfect house for that special family getaway with family or friends, Wychbury is the ideal choice. This beautiful house boasts an outdoor heated swimming pool, large lawns and patio which are perfect for soaking up the Devon sun, along with three of the bedrooms boasting en suites and a family shower-room serving the fourth. This beautiful house is also nestled in an enviable countryside location, yet only 30 minutes' drive from the glorious south coast and all the seaside towns and beaches which await.

Whether seeking the coast or countryside, Wychbury is located perfectly. Following a day of adventure, imagine returning home to enjoy the end of the sun in the outdoor heated pool whilst the barbecue sparks up. That's if you can bear to tear yourself away from this fabulous home in the first place.

Dining and relaxing is also a pleasure. The huge kitchen is a chef's dream, with oodles of space to whip up and lay out that special meal. Once fed and watered, cuddling up in the sitting-room with the wood-burner crackling is the best way to finish the day.

When it comes to retiring for the night, you are treated to four glorious bedrooms, three of which can be configured as a super-king or twin beds - your choice. With plenty of bathrooms and shower-rooms, unpacking and making yourselves at home will be a doddle. For one lucky couple, there is a fully equipped annexe to accompany bedroom one, making escaping the hustle and bustle of the main house easy to do.

Whether heading out to explore the magical seaside towns and villages which surround you or simply enjoying a day relaxing in your private space at Wychbury, whichever you choose, you will not be disappointed.

Only a few minutes' away, your closest town is Ottery St Mary, this charming town holds an intriguing history, pre-dating the Doomsday Book by some margin. For those who enjoy walking and exploring on foot, you are surrounded by an array of countryside walks and hikes, and for the cyclists of the party, make sure you bring your bikes as the cycle routes which traverse through and around this wonderful area are breathtaking.

Ottery St Mary is also a great spot to forage for almost everything and anything you could need. The high street is crammed with butchers, fishmongers, bakers and many other eclectic, independent shops. Not forgetting you have an array of eateries to choose from, which range from cafes, pubs and restaurants, to the simple and welcoming tea-rooms.

Further afield, if you can tear yourself away from the peace and quiet, you are surrounded by wonderful places to visit. Regency Sidmouth has a beautiful seafront, magnificent red cliffs and lots of independent shops, tea shops, restaurants and pubs. The Cathedral City of Exeter is just a short drive away; here you can explore 2000 years of history, with Roman walls, underground passages, the historic quayside and great shopping. If you are feeling energetic the Exe Estuary Trail can be enjoyed on foot or with your bicycle, a 26 mile flat route which links Exmouth, Exeter and Dawlish, with some fabulous views along the way.

In every direction you have a special hot spot to visit, from Branscombe, with the fabulous Sea Shanty beach cafe and the Mason's Arms, to Beer village with lots of charm, fresh fish from the beachside shop and summer boat hire if you wish to take to the water. Seaton tramway is well worth a visit, it leaves Seaton and travels the Axe Estuary through wetlands teeming with bird and insect life, to inland historic Colyton.

Further east you can book into River Cottage HQ for a cookery course or indulgent meal or hop over the border into Dorset and visit Lyme Regis famous for its iconic Cobb. Lyme is lively all year round, with great restaurants, cafes, a sandy beach and dinosaur and fossil museums to keep you there all day.
