Introducing The Forecast. This fabulous lodge, fully complete with luxury sauna, is the perfect retreat for a couple looking for a special getaway. This beautiful bolthole enjoys the most superb far reaching views across the Axe Valley. Predicting the day's weather is very easy to do as you are the first to see the weather coming in across the valley - your uninterrupted views allow you to see for miles and miles across the most glorious countryside.

The Forecast has been lovingly designed to offer both comfort and style; from the sumptuous king-size bed, glowing wood-burner effect electric stove, adding the perfect finishing touch to a cosy night in, to the fabulous electric sauna. Whether for a romantic getaway or that long-awaited break away from the hustle and bustle of life, this delightful retreat awaits.

You can enjoy the wonderful panoramic views from all angles in The Forecast, however, to step out onto your decked verandah, spark up the fire-pit and pop a bottle of something tasty is truly the way to enjoy this magical spot. By day, snoozing in the sun or enjoying a good book is just the ticket. By night, cuddling up and enjoying the stars is such a special and romantic treat.

When shopping for supplies or popping out for a bite to eat, the charming market town of Axminster is under a mile away. Its charming market square is where you'll find a range of shops, cafes and eateries. Venturing out for that special meal is so easy to do as the food scene in Axminster is a lovely blend of traditional and modern dining, with local produce being at the heart of many restaurants. Enjoy locally-sourced meats or fresh seafood of a nighttime or a delicious cream tea in the day. Slightly further afield and offering even more choice, including the renowned Rockfish restaurant, is the exceptionally popular town of Lyme Regis.

Back at this superb lodge, nestled in the grounds of the magnificent Chattan Hall, The Forecast is the perfect all-round retreat. The lovely owners of The Forecast live in Chattan Hall meaning you really are getting the best of both worlds, privacy and seclusion, whilst having help at hand should you need it.

Your location, albeit seeming rural and remote, is within easy reach of Axminster. Axminster is a charming market town which perches on the Devon/Dorset border. With a vibrant weekly Thursday market in the square and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Kitchen and Store nearby for a delicious brunch, lunch, or afternoon tea. Being within the east Devon National Landscape (formerly known as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), you are once again treated to some of the most breathtaking views and surroundings.

Slightly further afield you have the magical Jurassic Coast at your disposal. Well-known hotspots and must-see places such as Lyme Regis and Seaton are highly recommended. Lyme Regis is under five miles away and boasts numerous beaches and attractions. Seaton is only slightly further afield, once again boasting a beautiful shingle and sandy beach, along with numerous eateries and attractions.

The magical Jurassic Coast is home to an abundance of characterful and charming villages and towns all offering something rather special - not forgetting the magnificent coastline they are nestled on. For sea and beach lovers this magical stretch of coast is simply heaven.

For the explorers of the party, the Blackdown Hills are within a short car journey inland. Trekking and exploring in this stunning area is a real treat for those who enjoy nature and all things associated. The unique and special habitats which have been created in this beautiful area have made it a place of choice for rare plants, insects, birds and mammals alike. The ridges, valleys and trails make for an enjoyable trek on foot, with a watering hole or two waiting at the end of the day. Perhaps enjoying this vast land by cycle or horseback is preferable. Many options are available within the Blackdown Hills National Park.

The Forecast offers a blend of relaxation and tranquility, whilst offering exploration and adventure on your doorstep. The perfect combination for that special break for two.
