Set back from the road and only a short walk from the pretty tidal estuary at Wootton Creek, Firestone Lodge sets the scene for your luxury holiday with family, friends and your much-loved pooch.

An elegant escape full of traditional Grade II Listed character with handsome interiors, a sanctuary of peace and calm with a huge dose of welcome.

Enter the long driveway beyond the concrete pillars with ample parking for two cars, Firestone Lodge stands proudly above two flights of stone steps which lead to the entrance. Once inside, a flight of steps from the hallway leads you down to the sitting-room with dining-area, a lovely bright room. Relax on the comfy sofas, perfectly placed for cosying up around the wood-burner on a cool evening, with shelves full of books, films and board games for your entertainment. Your holiday is off to a great start.

In the height of summer open the French doors and begin your days enjoying hearty breakfasts on the terrace in the rear courtyard garden or look forward to a barbecue for dinner with fresh island produce. For a more formal dining experience the large dining-table adequately caters for all the family feasting and those oh so delicious after supper drinks and chats.

Across the hall take a small step up into the beautiful kitchen which is fully fitted and expertly kitted out with all you could need for your holiday menu. The main staircase leads up to the first floor with three beautifully furnished bedrooms along with the family bathroom, the lovely deep roll-top bath is perfect for soaking in and daydreaming after a long day exploring the island.

Bedroom one is a pretty and quiet room with a single day bed and a window overlooking the front garden. The second bedroom is a cute room with bunk-beds, a favourite with the kids or teenagers and looks out over the rear garden. Next door is a good size double room with plenty of space to snuggle up with either a good book or watch a film on the Smart TV. Bedroom three also overlooks the rear courtyard.

For an extra touch of luxury and privacy the fourth bedroom is on the second floor with a separate turning staircase, be sure to watch your head as you climb the stairs with its low sloping ceilings. The delightful bedroom with super-king bed, Smart TV and adjacent en suite bathroom is a perfect retreat for parents or grandparents to enjoy.

Firestone Lodge is central and with some delightful walks nearby. Visit Quarr Abbey, the Isle of Wight monastery and home of the Benedictine Monks. You can browse the Art Gallery, visit the small holding which grows lots of fresh produce available to purchase in the Quarr Abbey cafe and shop. If you're looking for a woodland adventure, get the hiking boots ready and head for 'Firestone Copse' with lots of tree species, woodland trails and picnic areas, a dog-friendly adventure for you all.
