KingWelcome to the wonderfully tranquil Cliff Cottage, situated in the Lincolnshire countryside on a working farm. Approached by a long private lane, this welcoming detached house offers a truly rural idyll, yet is only minutes away from a thriving city centre.
After hanging your coats and removing your walking boots in the large entrance porch, walk through to the property where every aspect of comfort has been catered for. The delightful kitchen/dining-room brings generations together and the designated chefs can create delicious feasts. There is everything you need to cook up a storm and a wonderful farmhouse table for family and friends to share the meal and enjoy getting together. Enjoy the delights of relaxing in the snug next door, and make the most of the large extended sitting-room with floor to ceiling windows and a bi-fold door. On warmer days, throw open the door and let the sunshine flood in, head out to the pretty garden and soak up the sun's rays or snuggle up on the corner sofa and watch your favourite film on the Smart TV. You'll also find a handy utility-room on the ground floor.
There are five great-sized double bedrooms to choose from - four on the first floor and one on the ground floor with a shower-room. Two of the bedrooms upstairs are en suite and there is a family bathroom for the other two to share. All have marvellous views over the countryside.
Returning to Cliff Cottage after an action-packed day really is the icing on the cake. Sparking up the barbecue and popping open a bottle of something tasty whilst the younger members of the party play in your enclosed grounds, really makes for the perfect holiday formula. Alternately it's a great place to relax and soak up the last rays of the setting sun.
We've no doubt Cliff Cottage will provide many happy holidays and is sure to become a family favourite.
Once the peace and quiet have worked their magic you might be ready to discover what's further afield. Lincoln city centre, only five miles away, has a lot to offer with its wonderful independent shops and its spectacular cathedral, nearly 1,000 years old. For the history buffs, why not visit the city's Roman ruins which are speckled around the city with several parts of the city walls still intact. Brayford waterfront boasts many bars, restaurants and a cinema. Enjoy a rooftop brunch gazing out over the water, or in the evening why not grab a cocktail on the floating bar.
Nearby the cottage is Lincolnshire Showground with its full programme of events including antiques fairs, flea markets and Lincolnshire show in June. For those who love the outdoors there are two nearby golf clubs, or enjoy the countryside from the back of a horse or seat of a cycle.
