This most elegant of Georgian homes is nestled within glorious countryside yet right on the doorstep of the stunning north Cornish coast. It's an exquisite hideaway for family getaways or a friends' escape whatever the season, and your four-legged friends are most welcome too.

Tucked away down a private farm track, immerse yourself in the tranquility that surrounds Trewollack House. The large garden has fabulous views over the countryside and surrounding Duchy farmland. Enjoy leisurely holiday breakfasts and summertime barbecues on the sheltered terrace and spend blissful balmy days soaking up the sunshine, lazing on the lawn indulging in an afternoon picnic.

Inside this is one stunning house. Impeccably styled and beautifully eclectic, the interiors are warm and inviting creating a sense of calm and restfulness to ensure that you have the most comfortable of stays.

Sink into the large comfy sofas in the sitting-room, cosied up in front of the open fire watching a holiday film or playing a board game together and next door the little snug, with its book-lined shelves, is the place to escape for some quiet time on leisurely afternoons getting stuck into a holiday read.

The kitchen/dining-room will become the heart of the home with slate flooring, Belfast sink and range-style oven, it is the epitome of country living and the perfect space for sociable suppers all served up on the most impressive round dining-table.

When it's time for bed, the four bedrooms will continue to delight. All individually designed and beautifully decorated with the most comfy of beds, and the very best linen so it shouldn't take you long to slip off into the land of slumber.

For larger groups you can also rent Harris Cottage (5411) right next door, perfect for those who want to join the party but also have some private time and space.

Trewollack's location is simply delightful set a gentle stroll from Nansledan, the Duchy of Cornwall's own pioneering sustainable community, which has a small selection of shops and places to eat. There is so much to do in this part of north Cornwall, the area is bursting with a wonderful choice of days out and places to visit.

In complete contrast to your idyllic countryside setting, the vibrant surfing town of Newquay is only a mile away, offering up a wonderful choice of shops, places to eat and drink, stacks of visitor attractions and wonderful beaches with Atlantic Rollers to thrill. Trenance Gardens and Leisure Park, is home to Newquay Zoo where you can enjoy close encounters with big cats, penguins and creepy crawlies. This beautiful green space is also a lovely place for evening strolls, family picnics, boat rides and refreshments at the lakeside cafe.

The coastline is littered with great beaches that will suit every member of the family and adrenalin junkies will get their fix at Watergate Bay's Extreme Academy, learning to kitesurf, bodyboard, wave ski or traction kite.

If all this sounds too much like hard work, grab a bite to eat at the Beach Cafe and sit back and relax and let the others show you how it is done.

You'll find the National Trust's Trerice House within easy reach, a beautiful Elizabethan manor with a gift shop, second hand book shop and a cafe.
