From the moment you arrive you will relax into your peaceful surroundings, a fusion of reclaimed finishes, abundance of foliage and comfy furnishings making this an idyllic country retreat.

Leave your car in the spacious private parking area and access the cottage from the pathway. Open the cottage door and a delightful light and airy space awaits with soft styling complementing the original features of this special dwelling. The sitting and kitchen area are open plan with large doors which open up to let in light from the private garden, which boasts a perfect green, velvety lawn.

Off grid marries together with modern touches in this charming piece of Cornish history. The cottage retains many of its original features whilst lending itself to a superbly appointed holiday bolthole with features such as a Smart TV and an ECV point.

There is plenty of space to cook up a storm in the lovely kitchen, whilst looking out over the wildflowers. The generous owners provide enough logs to supply your log-burner every day of the week if you wish, so pack up a couple of your favourite novels and get ready to relax and rejuvenate whilst keeping toasty by the fire.

The two double bedrooms are a vision of rustic charm, bedroom one has a king-size bed and bedroom two has a 'zip and link' giving you the luxury of choosing either a king-size double or small twin beds. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, perfect for a refreshing shower after a busy beach day.

Outside you can relax in the secluded garden with a lawn perfect for letting the children and family dog let off steam. Holidays are made for al fresco dining, and you can enjoy your tranquil garden from dawn until dusk. Welcome to Peaceful Retreat.

You may choose to explore the wonders of the area from your doorstep where you will find a myriad of gorgeous walks, creeks and ancient woodlands. If you do decide to take the car out there are many fabulous places to visit close by including traditional Cornish waterside villages such as Port Navas, Polwheveral and Gweek. Hop on the water taxi at Helford Passage and sail across to Helford Village, visit the Shipwrights Arms for a hearty crab sandwich and walk past the many thatched cottages sitting along the riverbank.

The maritime town of Falmouth is bursting with a great selection of eclectic shops, cafes and restaurants, and with three stunning beaches to discover you can spend days exploring here. The passenger ferry from the harbourside can take you to the gorgeous village of St Mawes on the Roseland peninsula and you may even see a pod of dolphins on the way.

If there are horticulturists in the party, visit the very beautiful Trelissick with a wonderful woodland walk, excellent cafe and gardens, or Trebah Gardens with views down the verdant valley to the private beach. Glendurgan sits next door, another excellent choice so you could tick off two boxes in one day! However you plan to spend your blissful holiday days, Peaceful Retreat is a great base for all your Cornish adventures.
