Nestled in a beautiful woodland setting, The Hideout is perhaps the perfect place for a family-friendly rural escape. Whisk a few of your favourite people (and the dog!) away for a stay somewhere rather unique; an army-style safari tent in a secluded location.

The Hideout is completely off grid, with solar powered lighting, and is wonderfully spacious, with a comfortable Chesterfield sofa, a cosy wood-burner, dining-table and chairs, and a rustic upcycled kitchen space with a wood-burning stove. After a day of adventures, sink into the double bed in the cabin-style bedroom - sure to provide a peaceful night's sleep. Wander over to the sweet tipi, a cosy space with twin beds and a wood-burner. The air raid shelter style shower-room is just a short stroll away, with a transparent roof looking up at the trees - you really are in the wilderness here!

Outside, this magical spot has an outdoor kitchen and dining area, crafted with recycled army equipment. You'll also find a barbecue and fire-pit, just perfect for those special summer nights. And of course, we can't forget to mention the fabulous wood-fired hot tub! You're sure to while away an hour or two here, unwinding in your tranquil surroundings.

Head up to the lookout point to soak up the glorious views, stretching across the Herefordshire countryside. And if you're looking for something a little more active, there's a fantastic woodland walk complete with shooting targets - great fun! Please bring your own water pistols if you wish to take part.

This beautiful part of the world is made for exploring. You'll find many a pretty village, blissful countryside walks, delightful country pub and bustling market town. The city of Hereford is nearby, with a fantastic choice of independent shops, art galleries and eateries, and the River Wye makes for a great place for canoeing and walking. The nearby village of Hay-on-Wye is just the spot for literary lovers, with its excellent selection of bookshops. Oh, and cider is the drink of choice in Herefordshire and is best embraced with a cider tour and tasting at one of the many orchards.

To stretch your legs and enjoy breathtakingly beautiful scenery, pack up a picnic and make your way to the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or the Brecon Beacons - both making for unforgettable day trips.
