Comfortably furnished for a restful holiday with family or friends, The Drey is the perfect base from where you can explore the delights that the Island has to offer the visitor.

Outside, wander into the lovely private garden to enjoy al fresco dining in the fresh island air. From here you can see the communal tennis court which you are welcome to use as well as the seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool located to the front of the building, via the booking system. Whether you plan to spend your days enjoying your gorgeous surroundings or explore further afield, this is a great place to base yourself for an island getaway.

Seaview is a charming village with all you need for a fabulous holiday right on the doorstep and just a ten minute stroll away from The Drey. Try Lily's cafe for the best freshly brewed coffee and cakes, or perhaps The Fort for eclectic surroundings, a stunning sea view and a fabulous menu.

The Seaview Hotel has a bar for relaxed dining or try the formal dining-room for special occasions. If you prefer to create your own culinary masterpieces, shop at the community shop, run by volunteers and offering all things local including baked goods, meat, dairy produce, vegetables and fresh fruit. Seaview is blessed with a choice of lovely beaches including sheltered Seagrove Bay, perfect for families looking for sand and rockpools, and Priory Bay, found just a little further along the coast via a boardwalk. A long, flat promenade runs most of the way along the village seafront, making the most picturesque of places to walk and a great way to visit Ryde, a larger town with a good selection of shops and eateries.

The Drey is ideal for a car-free holiday but if you do decide to travel further afield a visit to Osborne House should be on your list of "things to do". Originally the home of Queen Victoria, this beautiful abode is now open to the public and you can explore the house, extensive gardens and even the private beach, complete with an original beach bathing hut which belonged to the Queen.

Take the Military Road to West Wight and see the iconic Needles and whilst you are there visit Freshwater Bay, a gorgeous beach with crystal clear waters where water sports lovers will enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming.

However you plan to spend your blissful island days, a holiday at The Drey is sure to delight.
