Seaview is a pretty, much sought-after traditional village on the Isle of Wight and Compass Cottage sits in a commanding position on the High Street with several beaches a mere stone's throw away and a good selection of cafes and restaurants quite literally on the doorstep.

The eastern side of the Isle of Wight is renowned for its lovely beaches, Solent views and gorgeous unspoilt villages. Compass Cottage is perfectly placed for all you need for an idyllic seaside holiday and in easy reach of the very best the island has to offer.

The High Street is home to a row of regal Edwardian properties, beautifully kept and charming. Compass Cottage is a double fronted home with traditional bay windows and a pretty chocolate box exterior. Enter through the front door and the traditional, stylish interior welcomes you. The spacious sitting-room sits at the front of the property, beautifully furnished with contemporary and traditional furniture.

The dining-room with lovely bay window and a large dining-table is also found at the front of the property, gather everyone around the table to chat over dinner. The kitchen is located at the rear of the cottage, prettily crafted with dove grey units and a traditional Belfast sink. At every turn this lovely property will delight, from the cute coat rack in the hallway to the fabulous mirror on the wall. A handy shower-room can be found on the ground floor and this is also home to the washing machine and tumble-drier.

Climb the staircase and three bedrooms await on the first floor, two double rooms and a bunk room, all with comfy beds for a great night's sleep. A bathroom on this floor has a bath so you can have a long relaxing soak.

To the rear of Compass Cottage, the lovely secluded courtyard has a Mediterranean vibe, the perfect place for al fresco dining from dawn until dusk. Compass Cottage is a gorgeous home where you will relax into your holiday and enjoy Island living at its best.

Seaview has all you need for the perfect seaside holiday with a great choice of sandy beaches and lovely walks from the doorstep, in fact you may not use your car at all during holiday. Lily's cafe is the perfect spot for morning coffee, sandwiches and freshly made cakes, The Seaview Hotel has a great reputation for formal dining and for more relaxed meals try the Old Fort, with views overlooking the Solent and plenty of outside seating, ideal for summer months. For groceries try the Seaview Community Shop, a charitable venture run by local volunteers where you can buy the freshest of local produce including dairy, meats, bread and vegetables. A walk along the seafront to Puckpool Park will take you to the vibrant town of Ryde with a large sandy beach and spectacular pier where you can sit and watch the ships sail by.

If you do decide to take the car out, head for Osborne House, once the home of Queen Victoria and now a splendid house, private beach and gardens, beautifully looked after by English Heritage and a great place to spend the day. Cowes is a sailing mecca and a walk around the harbour admiring the yachts should not be missed, or perhaps drive to West Wight and discover the stunning clear waters of Freshwater Bay where water sports lovers will delight in kayaking, surfing and paddle boarding.
