Being situated in a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty means your experience in this magical setting is truly unique. You will be totally surrounded by the wonders of nature whilst still having all of life's mod-cons to hand, including a bubbling hot tub.

Fitting with its wonderful surroundings, The Woodland Hut has been expertly styled by its owners. As soon as you step through the pretty double doors you by be impressed with the high-quality finish and complementary furnishings. The luxurious king-size bed can be accessed from both sides and the perfectly positioned window at the end of the bed looks out over the unspoilt woodland. As you wake from your peaceful, uninterrupted sleep, open up the blinds and enjoy a quiet morning coffee as you sit and watch the wildlife begin to awaken. Birds, butterflies, deer and even otters have been known to snuffle around the surrounding woodland. The gentle wind through the trees provides an idyllic soundscape and you will totally feel as though you have escaped the stresses of daily life. The kitchen is excellently equipped, including a Nespresso coffee machine, and when you arrive a generous breakfast hamper is provided so you can treat yourself to a cooked breakfast of delicious local produce.

As the sun begins to dip behind the trees, head into the hot tub for an evening of star gazing; the unpolluted skies here make for a very special display. Once you have finished your evening dip and glass (or two) of bubbles, wrap yourself in one of the fluffy robes, light up the wood-burner and cosy up all evening, watching the embers soften. Your four-legged friends are sure to love curling up in front of the fire too.

No one could blame you for wanting to spend all of your holiday in this gorgeous setting however should you have the urge to explore then there is lots nearby. The village of Churchinford is very pretty and boasts a friendly local pub and excellently stocked shop. For walkers, cyclists and lovers of nature and the outdoors, the Blackdown Hills is paradise and The Woodland Hut is situated right in the heart of this tranquil landscape. There are a network of footpaths and cycleways just waiting to be explored and as the area straddles the Somerset and Devon border, both counties are easily accessible.

Should you wish to venture a little further then the Jurassic Coast is only a car journey away. This special stretch of coastline is millions of years old and there are some incredible views to enjoy. A favourite spot is Lyme Regis, a heaven for foodies (especially lovers of local seafood!). On your way back make a stop at Forde Abbey, once described as "the most perfect monastery in England", or Otterhead Lakes, a wonderful nature reserve on the site of a former Victorian estate.
