A holiday on the Isle of Wight begins with an exciting ferry journey from the mainland and from the moment you set foot on the Island you will realise you are somewhere very special. Seaview is a gorgeous traditional village, perfect for blissful holidays. The local community shop has a great stock of local produce so you can stock up on your holiday essentials without getting the car out. Lily's cafe is a lovely place for morning coffee and cake, whilst The Old Fort has panoramic views and a great locally-sourced menu. For a treat, try fine dining at The Seaview Hotel or perhaps wander along the seafront towards Ryde and call in at The Boat House pub with a great seating area overlooking the Solent. If you are looking for a beach holiday then look no further, Seaview has stunning beaches dotted with shingle, golden sand, and rock pools. Dog friendly Seagrove Bay is a short stroll away with a pretty, gently sloping beach. When the tide is in, simply sit on the seawall and wait for it to subside. If you decide to venture further afield, the island is blessed with miles of stunning coastline, grasslands, and forests where native red squirrels can be seen if you are very, very quiet. Osborne House near Cowes makes for a great day out and hours can be spend exploring the house and beautifully manicured gardens. To the west of the island the iconic Needles stand just off the coast, and you can take a chairlift down the cliff to the seashore and pick up a speed boat for a thrilling adventure out at sea. The nearby village of Bembridge is delightful and has a farm shop, fishmongers and a renowned butcher, where you can stock up on all your picnic essentials. Whilst you are there, don't miss the lifeboat station, an awesome spectacle open to visitors on certain days of the week. However you plan to spend your holiday time, Sunnyside will be a welcome retreat to return to after a day of exploring.
