This fabulous farmhouse needs very little introduction. Nestled at the end of a private drive, Lower Widdicombe Farm is simply perfect for that long awaited multi-generational holiday or that 'special occasion' celebration. This beautiful house has been refurbished to an exceptional standard, offering you a stylish home-from-home, complemented by a sprawling garden and large terrace; not forgetting the ability to stroll down to the mile long Beesands Beach via private access. A day on the beach, finished off with fish and chips or a splendid meal at the Cricket Inn, is just one of the many ways to enjoy this stunning holiday destination.

Returning to Lower Widdicombe Farm after a day on the beach, or following a day exploring the South West Coast Path, is a treat in itself. Sparking up the barbecue and enjoying a touch of dining al fresco on the terrace, overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens, is the perfect way to finish the day. Or perhaps serving up a feast in the magnificent kitchen/dining-room is just the ticket, before snuggling up in front of the glowing wood-burner in the beautifully furnished sitting-room.

For those special days or nights out, you are spoilt for choice. Heading out in the car will find you in towns and villages such as Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth, all offering numerous fine dining eateries and welcoming watering holes, not forgetting the fabulous boutiques which line the streets of these beautiful South Hams hotspots.

This special house is equipped to the highest standards, ensuring that both young and old have a truly memorable holiday. The games-room equipped with table-tennis, table-football and a large TV will prove a real hit with the younger members of the group, and caters perfectly for the evening's fun and games, for both young and old.

For the members of the group who would be daunted by steps, the great news is that there is flat level access (all bar one step) into the house, with one bedroom being located on the ground floor, ensuring that every member of the party can enjoy this house to its maximum. The owners have thoughtfully designed every inch of this house to ensure your holiday experience is second to none.

If you can tear yourself away from this rather special house and location, nearby you will find Slapton Ley and the stunning South West Coast Path to Start Point, where the National Trust has marked several footpaths. Please ensure you have a camera to hand as the views will be spectacular.

The village of Beesands is pretty special itself. Within a short drive from several hotspots and attractions, Beesands is home to its very own Blue Flag beach. This beautiful shingle beach runs parallel to the award-winning Cricket Inn, perfect for that special celebratory meal out, or a drink of something tasty whilst you soak up the view. Beesands also offers a beach shop and fishing tackle shop, making taking to the water to either paddle, swim or fish easy to do.

Linked by the South West Coast Path, the charming village of Hallsands is close by and offers a dog-friendly beach, which is exceptionally popular with our four-legged friends. When it comes to beaches, you really are spoilt for choice, as you have your pick of some of south Devon's most fabulous beaches; from the action-packed Blackpool Sands, historically renowned Slapton Sands, which is famous for its role in the Allied preparations for the D-Day landings, to the glorious sandy beaches of Bigbury, Thurlestone and Salcombe, all just a short drive away. Whether you are seeking water sports and action, or a lazy day relaxing, there's something for everyone.

Heading in the other direction, park up in East Portlemouth and catch a ride on the ferry which will take you into the heart of the town of Salcombe. If nothing else, the ferry ride is guaranteed to please the younger members of the party.

Lower Widdicombe Farm is a fabulous house, perfect for that special occasion, surrounded by beauty and tranquility, and within striking distance of some of the most sought-after hotspots in south Devon. This truly magnificent house will leave you wishing to return year after year.
