This gorgeous, tucked away cottage is just a short stroll from the centre of Yarmouth and a real delight. Gated access off a narrow unmade track, leading to the sea, takes you to your own Island idyll. The large white door opens into the entrance hall with the sitting-room and kitchen/diner leading off from there.

Pinings Yard has been stylishly decorated throughout and the added luxury of a wood-burning stove in the sitting-room means staying here in the cooler months will be cosy and just as lovely as the warmer ones.

The two bedrooms are on the first floor. The main bedroom has a super-king sized bed and sea views, enjoy a great night's sleep and a lovely start to the day. The second bedroom can be made up as a king-size double or twin beds, and a gorgeous bathroom with a roll-top bath is located between the two.

In Yarmouth you can pay for parking on a daily (24 hour period) or weekly basis using an app on your phone or by paying at the meters on site.

Yarmouth is a bustling port town located on the north west of the Isle of Wight. The ferry arrives here from Lymington taking approximately forty minutes and Pinings Yard is just a few minutes away from the ferry terminal so your holiday can start straight away. A car-free holiday is an option here with so many amenities close at hand. Yarmouth sits at the mouth of the River Yar and has a Grade II Listed pier, a fantastic place to admire the views across the Solent and watch the boats sailing by. Yarmouth also has its very own castle, tucked away by the ferry dock, a great spot for picnics with a sea view.

There is an excellent choice of places to eat out in the town, including some traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants. One of which is The Terrace, situated next to the ferry terminal and has a raised terrace overlooking the sea, serving wonderful food with a spectacular view! For a different experience, On The Rocks serves your food on a hot rock for you to cook yourself accompanied by a large bowl of fries, the kids will love it! You will be spoilt for choice in Yarmouth and be able to try somewhere different every night.

There are walks a plenty from your doorstep, follow the riverside track to Freshwater either by foot or bicycle and sample the sumptuous roast dinner in the Red Lion pub when you get to the end. There's a multitude of walking trails to explore for all ages, abilities and varieties. West Wight has some of the most dramatic coastline and there are endless coastal paths to follow taking in the breathtaking sea views including the famous Needles. You'll also find a plethora of beaches to explore from smaller sandy bays to the larger expanses like Compton Bay renowned for being a surfer's delight. The Island is blessed with nature reserves and Newton Reserve with bountiful wildlife is just down the coast.
