This beautifully decorated converted former stable, in the grounds of the Old Rectory in Yaverland just outside Bembridge, is a real gem. The owner has created a stylish and individual interior, making it a wonderful place to holiday on the Island in ultimate comfort. The views over Culver Down from the kitchen, dining area and double bedroom are simply stunning. Hours can be whiled away admiring the scenery whilst dining inside or out. Set back from the road, The Clock House can offer peace and quiet to get a restful night's sleep and awake to the adventures that await you.

The living-room is open plan and everything you might need has been catered for. The dining-table is perfectly placed to savour the view with French doors opening to the garden. There is a good-sized patio and mature enclosed garden for guests' private use, an ideal place for the younger ones to play safely. There are two bedrooms, a king-sized double and a bunk bedroom, both of which are furnished to a very high standard. The family bathroom is spacious and has a bath with a shower over.

Located within a few minutes' drive to Yaverland beach, well known as being one of the Island's best beaches, with a long stretch of sand and ideal swimming conditions. It is also one of the Island's dinosaur beaches - a guided fossil tour can be booked from the nearby Dinosaur Isle so the kids can find treasure of their own. Within a short distance of the coastal path, The Clock House makes a great base for a walking holiday, leading you along to the top of Culver Down, where from here the views are far reaching and well worth the ascent.

The Yarbridge Inn is a few minutes' drive away, a family run pub serving wonderfully hearty meals from locally-sourced produce, well worth a visit. Bembridge Village, approximately a five minute drive away, also has several pubs, shops, and cafes to choose from including a bakery and fishmongers. The whole Island is surrounded by idyllic coastline with endless beaches to explore, many with beach cafes to enjoy some of the locally-caught fish and of course the obligatory ice cream!

You will definitely want to return to The Clock House as it has all the ingredients for a perfect holiday, and its proximity to the Island's zoo means at feeding time you can often hear the roar of the lions!
