A very charming house overlooking The Green in the picturesque village of St Helens, on the east side of the Island, within a short and scenic walk to the beach. A footpath starting near The Green takes you down to St Helens Duver, a sandy headland to the side of Bembridge Harbour, a great place to walk and for kids to play in the sand dunes. Now under the care of the National Trust, the beach here is mainly sandy and there is a delightful cafe overlooking the beach and sea. You can walk from bay to bay and stop for a bite to eat or an ice cream whilst admiring the sea views.

The ground floor has an open plan layout with a large sitting-room to the front of the house with views over The Green. There is additional soft seating in the large entrance hall, a light and airy space with plenty of room for guests to spread out and relax. The kitchen/dining-room has a smaller breakfast-table and a second larger dining-table, beautifully furnished and well-equipped making it a great place for the family to dine all together and plan your days ahead.

Bi-folding doors lead out from the kitchen/dining-room to the enclosed patio area to the rear of the house. There are outdoor sofas plus a dining-table to make the most of the relaxing time in the Island sunshine and eating al fresco whenever possible. All three bedrooms are on the first floor, a single, a twin room and the master double bedroom. All very well appointed, the master overlooks The Green and has an en suite shower-room and separate dressing area. There is an additional family bathroom on the first floor with a bath and fitted shower.

There are several places to choose to dine out within walking distance of Hillcrest House, Dan’s Kitchen on the Lower Green, a smart neighbourhood restaurant using delicious local produce and offering good friendly service. The local pub, just five minutes' stroll along the road is The Vine Tavern, serving a great Sunday roast among other dishes in a relaxed and friendly setting. The neighbouring village of Bembridge is not far away, a five minute drive, or a lovely walk along the harbour taking around half an hour.

Bembridge village has a very good selection of local amenities including a fishmonger, butcher, bakery, farm shop and a cafe, everything you could possibly need! The harbour is lined with houseboats, one of which has been converted to a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the harbour, sit back with a chilled glass of wine and watch the busy harbour activity.
