A simply gorgeous three bedroom property just off St Helens' green on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight, The Haven is a short walk from the coast and a ten minute stroll takes you to St Helens Duver, a picturesque beach protected by the National Trust. The ground floor has a stunning open plan kitchen/dining-room, a wonderfully light and spacious room to enjoy mealtimes all together. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need with a large dining-table comfortably seating eight; there is also an adjoining utility-room.
Step out from the dining-area onto the patio and into the secluded garden, with outdoor shower and where you can enjoy a quiet cup of morning coffee or a barbecue on a summer's evening. There are two sitting-rooms to choose from, one of which is dog-friendly and the second with a comfy L-shaped sofa. The house has been beautifully decorated throughout with great attention to detail making The Haven a holiday home with exceptional comfort. All three generously sized bedrooms are on the first floor, the twin room with an en suite shower-room and there is a separate sumptuous family bathroom with a roll-top bath. Top up the bubbles and sneak away for a long soak with a good book. There are wonderful views from the first floor over Brading Marshes and the valley of the lower river Yar. There is off-street parking to the front of the house for two vehicles, plus access to the garage on request for bike storage only.
The Haven is just steps away from St Helens' village green, a picturesque village nestled between Seaview and Bembridge. The green is a hive of activity with local cricket and football matches taking place, Sunday car boot sales and an August bank holiday fun fair. There is also a local grocery store for your daily supplies.
There are several places to choose from to dine out, Dan’s Kitchen is on the lower green, a wonderful bistro-style restaurant serving superb food with very friendly service. The local village pub is The Vine, this serves a great Sunday roast for a holiday treat after a long morning walk. The local beach is also home to a fantastic beach cafe, the Baywatch On The Beach cafe, to enjoy anything from a tasty snack to a fine meal whilst you admire the sea view and watch the world go by. This beach is dog-friendly all year around, there are endless walks to choose from - with or without a dog of course! Bembridge is the next village along where you can enjoy a stroll along the busy harbourside and admire the quirky houseboats, one of which has been converted into a cafe specialising in locally-caught crab.
Bembridge has a fishmongers, farm shop and bakery, plus several restaurants and boutique shops - plenty of choices to sample a cooked breakfast or a cup of tea and cake! If outdoor pursuits are what you are looking for, Tacktisle is located on St Helens Duver offering mountain biking, kayaking, sailing and much more. There are a large number of amazing beaches to choose from on this side of the Island, explore them all and everything the Isle of Wight has to offer, before relaxing at The Haven after your holiday adventures.
