Turnstone is a beautifully designed, newly built town house situated overlooking the River Medina on the north coast of the island and within walking distance of Osborne House. From the Southampton to East Cowes car ferry, Turnstone is only a short distance away, meaning you can start your holiday straight away! This tastefully decorated three-storey house has two bedrooms on the ground floor, a double and a twin and with a lovely bathroom in between the two. On the middle floor there is an elegant sitting-room with doors out to a integral decked balcony with table and chairs and lovely views over the river. There is a modern kitchen/diner also on the middle floor fully equipped with all new appliances and dining for six. On the third floor is the master suite with television and en suite shower-room, both beautifully decorated and offering very high quality accommodation. The final ‘wow’ to this property is a third floor balcony with rooftop views over the River Medina, some comfortable lounge chairs, perfect to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet after your day's activities. Turnstone is ideally positioned to get to all the islands attractions, a perfect base for a family holiday.

One of the great ways to explore the area around Turnstone is by bicycle, whether you bring them along or hire them, there are cycling routes galore for all levels of ability. A nice easy route to start with takes you along the river all the way into Newport, ideal for younger ones as it is safely away from the roads. You will pass The Folly pub and The Breeze Restaurant in Island Harbour, both great family friendly places to eat with outdoor seating. The Folly is a rustic pub perched on the banks of the River Medina, they have a superb large outdoor patio with a stunning backdrop of the river, where you can enjoy your meal and admire the boats going by. Osborne House is also within walking distance, the former royal residence built for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as a summer home and rural retreat. There is an enormous amount to see and do in the house and stunning surrounding gardens, a whole day out is needed or two! Cowes, the famous yachting town, is a short drive away or cycle via the East Cowes floating bridge. Cowes has many boutique shops, restaurants and cafes, take a stroll down through the town to the seafront and soak up the atmosphere. Further along the coast is the seaside town of Gurnard, here there is a shingle beach and great views across the Solent and boasting some of the best sunsets you are likely to find. At the eastern end of the seafront is a popular cafe and restaurant with an all-important window ice cream service! Turnstone can offer you a wonderful base to explore everything the Island has to offer.
