The interior of the house is light and airy with a large conservatory overlooking the garden, the perfect place for afternoon tea and a siesta. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with doors leading out to the garden plus an en suite shower-room. There is a further downstairs shower-room and WC making it ideal for larger families and those with difficulty accessing the first floor. There is another double, a twin and a very impressive master bedroom to the front of the house on the first floor with spectacular sea views. Bay View is in a quiet and tranquil setting, yet within walking distance of the village pub, shop and the beach, the ideal family holiday setting.
St Helens is a quaint village on the east side of the island, within walking distance of Bembridge Harbour and shops. In St Helens itself there are several quality restaurants and a children's playground. The nearest beach is a picturesque walk away over St Helens Duver, the sand dunes with a royal history, where you will find sandy beaches, rock pools, sand dunes and coastal woods all within a small area, a truly lovely place to relax or gently wander. A brisk walk along the harbour, past the quirky houseboats, takes you to Bembridge Village where there are boutique shops and several cafes including a houseboat ‘Best Dressed Crab’ Cafe! If you fancy getting active Tacktisle is a short drive away on St Helens Duver, they specialise in outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, kayaking, sailing and much much more. Bay View is dog friendly and the walks from your doorstep are endless, the nearby Brading Marshes is the first RSPB’s reserve on the Island and covers most of the beautiful valley of the lower River Yar. The nearest beach at St Helens is dog friendly all year around. Return to Bay View at the end of your day’s adventures, relax on the patio with a glass of wine and soak up the view.
