Bembridge / Sleeps 4 + cot

This two bedroom apartment in Bembridge is small but perfectly formed. Lovingly restored by the owners, 53a offers a perfect base for a family with a light and airy double bedroom and a second bedroom with bunk-beds. The good sized garden has a lawned area and a patio with outdoor seating and barbecue for al fresco dining when the sun is out. The brand new open plan living-room with kitchen and diner has plenty of space to eat as a family and relax watching a film in the evenings. Forelands is the closest beach, just a five minute walk away, and is a perfect mixture of golden sand, rock pools and shallow waters for swimming.

Howgate Road's claim to fame is the ‘Howgate Wonder’, a very special apple tree. First grown in Howgate Lane in 1916 at Number 4 Hope Gardens, the house still stands but the original tree was disposed of in 1968. This particular apple is larger than your average one and in many cases simply huge, the skin is green with brown and yellow stripes! You will find just such an apple tree newly planted in the garden at Number 53a. Bembridge has beautiful beaches, a bustling village and a busy working harbour making it an ideal place for a family holiday. Bembridge village is a 10 minute walk in the other direction, with a good choice of cafes, pubs and local shops, including a bakery and fishmongers.
