The twin bedroom is suitable for either children or adults and the children will love to choose a bedtime story from the collection of books on offer. The bathroom has a bath with shower over so you can choose to take a long soak or a refreshing shower after a busy beach day. 5 Sandpipers has the additional benefit of a private parking space so no worries about where to park here! Seaview is a wonderful place for an island getaway and recently refurbished 5 Sandpipers has all you need for an unforgettable holiday.

The Isle of Wight is a captivating island, and the adventure begins the moment you set sail over the Solent on the ferry. For a small island, the Isle of Wight packs a big punch when it comes to getting away from it all, and with miles of sandy beaches, pretty villages, ancient woodlands and a myriad of footpaths, there really is something for everyone here.

If beach life beckons, then the local beach at Seagrove Bay is hard to beat with a sandy shoreline and gorgeous views. At high tide you can sit and watch the water world go by from the seawall. For rock pooling try Seaview beach which stretches all the way to Ryde. Bembridge village is close by and with five miles of beach to discover you will be spoilt for choice, or perhaps try St Helens where parking is close by and the beach is backed by the Duver, a large expanse of low-lying ground looked after by the National Trust.

Diners will be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out. Try the Seaview Hotel for formal dining or perhaps The Old Fort where you can sit overlooking the Solent and enjoy the freshest of local produce. A short stroll away The Boathouse has a large patio for al fresco dining, perfect on sunny days. The local community shop in the village has all the holiday essentials you need and a good selection of island produce should you wish to cook in your island retreat.

Further afield, history buffs will love Osborne House, once the holiday home of Queen Victoria and a place worth exploring for its stunning gardens, interesting house and private beach with restored beach hut. Or perhaps visit West Wight and Freshwater Bay where water sports lovers can enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding in secret coves and crystal-clear waters. However you plan to spend your getaway, 5 Sandpipers is the perfect destination for families or couples looking for an island escape.
