From the moment you arrive at 23 Coastguard Cottage you will be charmed by its stylish interiors, perfectly decorated in blue and grey hues to match the seaside location. The delightful sitting-room has comfy sofas for relaxing in front of the Smart TV and a coal-effect gas fire to warm your toes in cooler months. A door leads from the sitting-room into the pretty garden, perfect for morning coffee or an evening aperitif. There's a separate dining-room, great for sociable dining, and the stylish kitchen has all the equipment you'll need to cook a holiday feast. The ground floor is also home to a shower-room where you can rinse off salty toes with ease!

Upstairs, the first floor is home to three pretty bedrooms and a family bathroom. Bedroom one has a king-size double bed for a restful night's sleep and a TV. Bedroom two has a standard double bed and the third bedroom has bunk-beds which children will love. Please note the lower bunk is a double for flexibility but the cottage sleeps a maximum of six guests. Outside, the garden is delightful with both grass and a gravelled area, perfect for storing your paddle boards and kayaks. A patio area provides the ideal place for al fresco dining and a separate decked area at the bottom of the garden is a tranquil spot where you can sit in the island sunshine and enjoy the peace and tranquility. 23 Coastguard Cottage has everything you need for a restful holiday.

The much sought-after village of Bembridge sits on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The village centre has a great selection of local shops including a bakery, fishmongers and Woodfords Butchers, famed island wide for its meats and pies. There's a choice of three good pubs and a variety of restaurants to choose from, ideal if the chef wants a night off. The fabulous sand and shingle beach skirts the perimeter of the village so you are never far away from a sea view and at low tide this is a fabulous place to walk, rock pool and swim. The village is home to the last surviving windmill on the island so do pay a call and look out for the magnificent lifeboat station, hard to miss if you are visiting the beach.

A car-free holiday is definitely a possibility if you are staying in Bembridge but if you do decide to take the car out head to Culver Downs and take in the stunning views of Sandown Bay (walkers can pick up the coast path from the village and the climb up here is well-worth the views!). A drive along Military Road will afford some stunning views and take you to Freshwater Bay, West Wight, a gorgeous, sheltered spot perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. Osborne House was once the home of Queen Victoria and now open for the public to wander the extensive gardens, house and private beach with an original bathing hut.
